The mistake is treating it as a single drop-off. Guests don’t leave together. Some go at nine, some at midnight. A shuttle that does one run and disappears leaves half your guest list stranded.
Sizing the Shuttle
Count your out-of-town guests and anyone staying at the hotel block. Not your total guest list — local guests mostly drive themselves.

Building the Timeline
This is where most wedding transport goes wrong, and it’s fixable in ten minutes.
Work backwards from the ceremony start time:
- Ceremony starts. Fixed point. Everything else moves around it.
- Guests seated: 15 minutes before.
- Last shuttle arrives at venue: 30 minutes before. Not 15 — people move slowly in formal clothes.
- First shuttle leaves hotel: 75–90 minutes before, so late guests still have a second run.
- Bridal car collects: 45 minutes before, which allows for the dress and for photographs at the pickup location.
Give your transport company the venue addresses and the hotel block with your enquiry. A decent operator returns a schedule, not just a price. If they only send a price, ask for the schedule.

Stockyards venues. Brick streets, tourist foot traffic, and parking that fills early on weekends. Drop-off works well here; self-parking for fifty guests does not.

Two things to know. First, they’re always chauffeured — insurance on classic and vintage vehicles doesn’t allow self-drive anywhere in the industry. Second, there’s exactly one of each. When a date is taken, there is no equivalent substitute, which is why these book six to twelve months out.
If a vintage car matters to you, book it before the shuttle. It’s the only piece with no backup option.

- Rehearsal dinner transport. Cheap, and it stops the wedding party driving after a long evening.
